Developing pet care products presents many choices — we make the natural ones. For each of our products, Mauro Spina has expertly put together, evaluated and fine-tuned a unique, gentle blend of vegan ingredients with cleansing, refreshing, and soothing properties. They are complemented by organic extracts which will enhance the natural beauty, health, and shine of your dog's coat.

Spina Organics' products offer champion-like results, while being extra-gentle, non-irritating, soothing and antistatic. You'll see it, and they will feel it.

While some products may share the same ingredients, the amount of each ingredient varies in the formulation, depending on the dog's needs and condition and on the results to be achieved. As you'll see and smell, all ingredients are natural, vegan botanical extracts of the highest purity and quality.

Please note that the surfactants we use are NOT sulfates. They are simply substances which reduce surface tension of the liquid in which they are dissolved, thus allowing the product to penetrate the coat and deliver its benefits.

Sodium Coceth Sulfate
Hazards similar to Sodium Lauryl Sulfate.

Cocamidopropyl Betaine
Frequently causes allergic reactions.

Microbial resistance, endocrine disruption, higher incidence of allergies, altered thyroid hormone metabolism, and may induce tumors.

Polyethylene Glycol (PEG)
Skin penetration enhancer, often contaminated with dioxane and ethylene oxide toxins.

Frequently causes allergic reactions.

Retinyl Palmitate
Carcinogenic effects.

Traps impurities in the skin.

Allergen with toxic effects on the skin. Formaldehyde-releasing chemical.

Potassium Sorbate
Skin and eye irritant.

Hormone disruptors suspected to trigger endocrine system issues.

Cocamide DEA / MEA
Usually highly contaminated by nitrosamines, which are carcinogenic and have reproductive toxicity, development toxicity, and organ system toxicity.

When ethylene oxide is not completely cleaned out of the final ingredients, it is contaminated with a known carcinogen.

Artificial Coloring
Synthesized from coal tar and petroleum, they are linked to organ damage, cancer, birth defects, and allergic reactions.

Two examples of artificial dyes

Yellow Dye 5
Linked to allergies, hyperactivity, aggression, and insomnia.

Red Dye 33
A known carcinogen. Coal tar dyes have been banned in many countries, and California's Proposition 65 requires an appropriate cancer warning on products containing this ingredient.

Artificial / Synthetic Fragrances
Some synthetic fragrances are suspected to be carcinogenic, and all can be dispensed with—they are just cheaper!
